Tomorrow, April 24th, is Denim Day. This is an international protest that began after the Italian Supreme Court overruled a rape conviction in the 1990’s. Hard to believe, but after a jury had found the assailant guilty, the justices argued that because jeans are hard to remove, the rapist would have needed the help of the victim. He went free!
So, to honor victims of sexual assault on the last Wednesday in April , tweet #DenimDay and wear jeans.
If you can’t wear denim, try a denim pin.
